“The photographer to the stars”, photographing glamorous celebrities such as Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sir Anthony Hopkins, to big name bands including “The Rolling Stones”. John’s passions for photography began during his military service in the 70’s, taking a hobby of shooting images of his fellow troops, to expanding it into a full time career. Inspiration for his work and his image perspectives were drawn from master photographer idols that included Richard Avedon and Arthur Fellig, (”Weegee”). Their work inspired and perfected his style and passion for photography.

“Work” was awarded the Best Photography book in the World at the Barcelona Primavera Fotografica 1991. In 1989 the Guardian newspaper proclaimed him to be “The Photographer of the Decade”. “Life” magazine used the photograph “A Broken Frame” as its front cover of a special supplement “The Greatest Photographs of The 80’s”.
